Adrian Lazarus has built on his energetic involvement, over the past 25 years, in the Production Industry to create Mercury Productions.

He has an outstanding grasp of first class production values and what it takes to execute a successful shoot both timeously and within budget.

After six years of producing shoots for fashion stills he moved into the world of video. Applying his hands-on approach and sharp eye for detail, from the story-board to the filming, as well as his excellent understanding of lighting, he has professionally conducted many successful shoots. Combining all this with his skill and feel for the editing process, you get a winning package.

As a Film Director, Adrian brings a quality to his work that is both sensitive and gritty. “I am particularly fond of my short lenses that render the backgrounds out of focus and create a wonderful feeling with the use of Bokeh. I am always on the look out for old, manual lenses that can be adapted to my projects. Directing is as much a passion for me as the need to feel fulfilled, to feel complete.”

Adrian’s love of Fashion Film drove him to create BOKEH, the most Entertaining Fashion Film Festival in the World in 2014, after competing and winning the Award for Best Art Direction at the La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival and the International Fashion Film Awards, in the USA.
He created the Mercedes-Benz Bokeh South African International Fashion Film Festival and is now an authority on Fashion Film both locally and abroad. Each year he and his team receive over 500 of the worlds top Fashion Films and they curate the festival to showcase the very best in Film, Fashion and Entertainment!
The Festival is attended by delegates, directors, producers and designers from around the world and is a perfect platform for brands to launch ranges, ideas and concepts, while networking and gaining insight into Fashion Film and Design.

Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude.
